What's a podcast?

It's pretty simple. A podcast is a series of audio or video files that can be listened to or watched on your computer, mp3 player or iPod. The operative word here is "series." What makes a podcast a podcast is that it's an ongoing series -- like a radio or TV show.


Why podcast?

Here's the thing about podcasting: twenty-two million adults in the US own iPods or mp3 players -- and recent studies say young adults are spending more time online than watching television. Which makes podcasting a great way for companies to "podmarket" to specific niche demographics.
